"6 Year Old with an I.Q. of 176"

SUMMARY:
On my way to school one morning I was listening to the morning show on 97.9 "The Beat" and they had brought up the topic of a person's intelligence. As many may know, a 6 year old name Pranav Veera is said to have an I.Q. of 176. Einstein was believed to have an I.Q. slightly above 160. Note also that only 1 in a million people have an I.Q. of 150 or above. The average intelligient quotient is of course 100. Pranav can recite the names of the U.S. Presidents in the order they served in office, and say the alphabet backwards at the age of 6.

CONNECTION:
This information can be linked directly to our classes studies on intelligience in chapter 7 of our Psychology class. The Stanford-Binet test was developed to accurately reflect a person's intelligience standing within a population of their age group. Stanford-Binet also developed the formula to equate intelligience (IQ= Mental Age/Chronological Age) * 100. Pranav Veera could potentially be a member of the MENSA organization also, which we covered in the course. This organization grants membership to anyone who has an I.Q above 130 on the Stanford-Binet IQ Test.
